Leafs Recycling Centre makes donation to Hospital Foundation

The Nelson Leafs Recycling Centre continue to collect donations on behalf of the Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation.

For the past 14 years the Leafs Recycling Centre has collected bottles and cans for donations for the local foundation at the facility next to Cottonwood Park in Nelson.

Recently the Nelson Leafs presented the KLHF with a cheque for $5,600 bring the grand total to $90,600.

Nelson Leafs Hockey Society, Director Gordon Davis made the presentation for Brent Cross, Vice-Chairperson of the Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation.

Once again the Nelson Leafs say a great big thanks to all the fans for supporting the Nelson Leafs and the Kootenay lake Hospital Foundation.

The Leafs return to action with a double-header weekend of home games at the NDCC Arena.

Friday, Nelson meets Grand Forks Border Bruins before facing Spokane Braves Saturday. Puck drop for both games is 7 p.m.

Sunday, Nelson travels to Fruitvale to face Murdoch rival Beaver Valley in a 2 p.m. contest.
