Heritage City Basketball Camp packs in players
Almost 100 youth players took advantage of some top calibre coaching as the recent Heritage City Basketball Camp at the L.V. Rogers Hanger.
The basketball camp, hosted by LVR Bombers Senior Boys coach Ryan McKinnon, attracted at total of 94 players in two separate sessions.
A portion of the proceeds from the four-day camp will be donated to both the girls' and boys' basketball programs at L.V. Rogers Secondary to help alleviate player and team costs throughout the upcoming school seasons.
McKinnon was assisted by Paul Naka, former coach and player with Langara College in Vancouver and members of the Bomber girls and boys teams.
Youth players interested in playing club basketball this fall should check out the Nelson Hoops Association website.
