KidSports hosts Skate with Santa Holiday Family Event

On Saturday December 17, 2022, 12-2 p.m. the NDCC in partnership with KidSport Nelson is offering a FREE public skate for families featuring Santa Claus at the NDCC Arena.
There will be a holiday activity table, treats, and hot chocolate. Free skate and helmet rentals, although equipment available is limited.
Attendees are encouraged to make a monetary donation to KidSport’s Give the Gift of Sport campaign as well as food items for Nelson Foodbank.
KidSport™ has launched their eleventh annual Give the Gift of Sport™ fundraising campaign, calling on Canadians to donate online at KidSport.ca/GiftofSport. Choose your local chapter from the drop-down menu.
All money raised locally stays local.
About KidSport:
KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that helps remove financial barriers that prevent kids from playing sport by providing assistance for registration fees to children aged 18 and under. Through a confidential application process, grants are given so they can play a season of sport. In Nelson, grants up to $500 are available per child annually. Since its creation in 2007, KidSport Nelson has disbursed over and helped over 1500 kids from our region receive grants and sport introduction programming.
