Travis Hauck — Nelson's 2022 Sports Ambassador

The City of Nelson recently honoured Travis Hauck as the 2022 Sports Ambassador.
The Sports Ambassador position, selected by Council and announced back in December, is awarded to an individual athlete, group, or team who has achieved a high standard of excellence in their athletic pursuits.
The winner represents Nelson’s sports and recreational community.
Hauck’s involvement in recreation in the area is extensive.
He is an athlete in many sports, teaches sports lessons part-time, and has organized a wide range of athletic events over his many years living his Nelson.
He loves supporting people to access an active lifestyle and hopes to inspire others. In addition to the honour, Hauck received a $1,000 honorarium for his contribution to the community.
