Police report early morning burglary in Uphill

Nelson Police are reporting a brazen burglary in the Uphill district of Nelson early Wednesday morning.
Police said Wednesday (March 6) at approximately 6:21 a.m., NPD received a report of a break and enter that occurred overnight at a residence in the Uphill area.
“Unknown offender(s) entered into the residence and removed property while the elderly occupant was asleep,” the NPD media release said.
“Police would like to remind residents to ensure their doors and windows are secure at night and to report any suspicious activity to police.”
