Celebrate New Year’s Eve at The Jubilee Saloon in Ymir
The Ymir Community Watershed Society, right in the finest little-old mining town in the Kootenays, is celebrating New Year’s Eve at The Jubilee Saloon, in a party right out of the early 1900’s.
The public is invited to Ymir to ring in the New Year in an old-fashioned way with dancing, a casino, and showgirls, featuring the world-famous burlesque legend Judith Stein.
It’s a celebration from the past to help us protect the future of Ymir’s drinking water supply.
Proceeds will pay for expenses like water and land studies needed by the community to save the Quartz Creek watershed from industrial activity.
It’s suggested people wear their finest western clothes and capture the night with pictures from the photo parlour. Then cut loose on the dance floor to bring in the New Year.
Libations are available at the Saloon’s bar and canteen.
Tickets are $40 including casino play money, champagne for midnight, and the usual Ymir shenanigans.
A good time like only Ymir knows how to host.
