Rotary Club of Nelson Daybreak joined with the City of Nelson to host a public information open house to talk about a planned parks improvement project and distribute surveys on the Rosemont Multigenerational Park project.

Dozens of community members attended and approximately 200 completed surveys have already been received, both online and hard copy.

Once the survey closes, the feasibility for the development will be determined based on community feedback received, current community needs and funding.  A phased approach will be considered to ensure all development is sustainable.

Daybreak Rotary have applied for the Aviva Community Grant which provide funding for community projects. The online voting for this grant begins on September 25th and the public are able to vote up to 10 times.

The survey closes September 28th at 11 a,m.

Special thanks to Randy Horswill of Nelson Home Building Centre who attended the open house and generously donated $2,000 towards the Rosemont Multigenerational Park project.
