Boil Water Notice rescinded for Balfour Water System

The Regional District Central Kootenay (RDCK) is pleased to announce that effective immediately, the Boil Water Notice issued for the Balfour Water System has been rescinded.
On July 9, 2018, the RDCK issued a Boil Water Notice as a precautionary measure due to work being done for a watermain tie-in and associated potential water quality concerns. Two subsequent water quality tests indicate that water quality is good in the system.
The RDCK appreciates Balfour water users’ ongoing cooperation and patience during the water system upgrade project and apologizes for the inconvenience experienced.
