McArthur, Bulfone grab top prize at Tournament of Roses

The team of Diony McArthur and Loretta Bulfone captured the Low Gross title at the annual Tournament of Roses Golf event Tuesday at the Granite Pointe at Nelson course.
McArthur of Castlegar and Bulfone playing out of Rossland’s Redstone Course, carded an 18-hole score of 82 to edge Michelle Palm and Bev Stevens for the Nelson and District Credit Union Trophy.
Linda Tamblyn and Verna Chernoff were third.
Ted Allen’s Jewellery Low Net title went to Bev Poole and Wendy Eggleton with a 57. Second was Charlyne Tees and Corinne McFadyen of Granite Pointe at 63 with Sue Moisey and Fran Crawford of Granite Pointe third at 64.
Flight One winners were:

- First Low Net – Charlyne Tees and Corinne McFadyen (63)
- Second Low Gross – Linda Tamblyn and Verna Chernoff (82)
- Second Low Net – Sue Moisey and Fran Crawford (64)
Flight Two winners were:
- First Low Gross – Gwen Arnett and Karen McGinnis (89)
- First Low Net – Jeri Santarossa and Dana Haas (62)
- Second Low Gross – Corinne Scheldrup and Jackie Chapin (92)
- Second Low Net – Marnie Devlin and Peggy Egroff (63)
The tournament attracted players from Castlegar, Rossland, Trail, Fruitvale and Nelson.
