Kid-Sized Book Sale comes to the Nelson Public Library
The Friends of the Nelson Public Library are holding a Kid-Sized Book Sale on Saturday, April 14, a great way for folks to pick up some bargains and support the Library at the same time.
To that end, the Friends are asking for donations of nearly new kids’ books, CDs, and DVDs.
“The Kid-sized Book Sale has become a popular annual tradition,” says Friends volunteer Catherine Brochhagen. “Our kids grow out of books so fast. This way, parents can donate the books their kids are finished with and then come and find books that interest them now.”
The Friends of the Nelson Library group raises funds to purchase new furnishings and other acquisitions for the Library. Beginning this year, the Friends have developed a year-round calendar of sales. Look for a gardening, cookbook and nonfiction sale in May, a DVD and audiobook sidewalk sale in July, a fall fiction book sale in October and a holiday gift book sale in November.
Donations of children’s books may be dropped off at the Library until April 7. The Friends of the Library Kid-Sized Book Sale runs from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 14 in the children’s area, downstairs at the Library. Call 352-6333 for more information.
The Friends of the Nelson Library are always looking for new members; for more information about the group call Miriam Williams at 352-9479.
