The West Kootenay EcoSociety is thrilled to be bringing in Pretty Faces, the first ever all female ski movie to Rossland and Nelson. Featuring an amazing line-up of the world’s best skiers, Pretty Faces celebrates a love of adventure, a passion for pushing the limits of skiing, and the ability to reach our fullest potential by working together to form a supportive community.

Directed and produced by Lynsey Dyer (Freeski World Tour champion 2005, Powder’s Female Skier of the Year 2011, and first woman to be featured in the opening scene of a Warren Miller Film) this is a woman who knows how to trail blaze by building up the women around her, too.

“It’s an honour to be screening in Pretty Faces in Rossland and Nelson,” said Erin Thompson, Community Engagement Coordinator at EcoSociety, about the film that is showing in both Nelson and Rossland (November 26).

“Women are underrepresented in leading roles in all forms of media, especially professional sports, and yet we all know incredible female skiers and boarders in our communities. This is a great opportunity to bring friends and family to a fun movie that redefines what it means to ‘ski like a girl.’”

Get ready to be inspired by the pioneers of “never-evers” in this award-winning ski documentary.
