Village of Salmo has a new pedestrian bridge
Canada Day 2017 was an incredible success with a vibrant parade and a packed outdoor market in KP Park.
From the pancake breakfast to the slo-pitch tournament to the Bavarian beer gardens, events saw record numbers of people in attendance. While the Village of Salmo coordinated the celebrations this year, over 20 volunteers made it possible. Many of these volunteers are named in this thank you poster.
The Village was also able to celebrate the opening of the community built 6th Street pedestrian bridge. The opening was well attended and complimented by more than 30 Salmo Valley Trail Society runners coming through it as soon as the ribbon was cut.
Salmo’s Jordan Bakken was the first person to cross the bridge.
