Movies & Tragically Hip Concert hosted by Expressions Theatre Café
Expressions Theatre Café and Regional District of Central Kootenay present
Canadian Movies in the Park at Lakeside Park and Kokanee Creek Park for the community.
Each movie is under two hours, and all are family friendly and free of admission.
The movies include The Grand Seduction, Saturday (August 13) at Kokanee Creek Park on the North Shore.
Sunday (August 14) it’s The Whale at Lakeside Park.
The final movie of the set is set for Saturday, September 3 at Kokanee Creek Park when Breakaway is being shown free to the public.
Each movie will begin when it starts to get dark out, at approximately 8 p.m.
If it rains, the event will be postponed. The audience should bring lawn chairs and blankets to each film.
Slotted between the movies is Live Streaming of the Tragically Hip Concert on the Big Screen at a location to be determined.
This is the final concert of a Canadian tour for the band known as the Hip. Expressions is combining with CBC and the Tragically Hip to present the Ontarian concert LIVE across Canada.
Other locations streaming the Tragically Hip Concert include The Civic Movie Theatre (must be over 19); Finley’s (minors must be accompanied by guardian or parent); Mike’s Place in the Hume Hotel (must be over 19 years) and The Falls Music Lounge (minors must be accompanied by guardian or parent).
The Concert runs from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.
