Even a little rain couldn't dampen spirits of 2016 LVR Graduating Class
A little rain . . . well maybe a lot . . . okay a major downpour, couldn’t dampen the spirits of the L.V. Rogers Grad Class of 2016 during the annual Cavalcade through the downtown core of Nelson Saturday afternoon.
Mother Nature held off for most of the parade before releasing a deluge of moisture on the latter stages of the Cavalcade.
The Cavalcade was just part of the Grad Weekend Nelson style.
Friday, Cap and Gown Ceremonies captured center stage at the Nelson and District Community Complex.
Senior Micah May gave the Valedictorian speech before graduates were recognized individually by LVR administration with awards and bursaries handed out by local service clubs.
Saturday, grads joined hands at the Grand March before hopping into convertibles, trucks, horses and bikes for the Cavalcade through the streets of Nelson.
The Promenade concluded the celebratory weekend.
