Nelson garnered a bit of provincial airtime as two on-air members of the Global BC News Hour paid a visit to the Heritage City Thursday for the 6 O’clock program.

News Anchor Chris Gailus and Senior Meteorologist Mark Madryga were part of the News Hour broadcast Thursday, coming to BC live from outside the Chamber of Commerce building in Railtown.

The News Hour focused on Nelson stories about Selkirk College Cooking program, the Motorcycle debate as well as an inside look at Nelson’s Diefenbunker, one of 50 Cold War-era bunkers built in Canada.

A small crowd turned out to watch the live showing of the News Hour, under glorious evening skies, which cam complete with a few hiccups.
