Bombers continue to fly high against High School Rugby teams
The L.V. Rogers Bombers Rugby program continues to get better with age.
The Bombers continued to dominate High School teams in the West Kootenay and province after the Bombers returned from the Kamloops RugbyFest with a clean slate, winning games against Hunting Hills, Chilliwack and South Kamloops by a combined 63-10 mark.
The toughest match came against Chilliwack where the Bombers hung on for a 7-5 win.
Prior to Kamloops, LVR defeated Pen Hi of Penticton 15-14, J. Lloyd Crowe of Trail 36-0 and Castlegar’s Stanley Humphries 29-0.
Meanwhile, the LVR Junior Boys posted three wins in Kamloops — 46-0 over Williams Lake, 17-10 over Clearwater and 29-5 against Jasper, Alta.
Grade 8 player Relmmu Wilson-Valdez scored six times for the juniors.
The Bombers were in Cranbrook Thursday for a Rugby Playday.
LVR hosts its own playday May 11.
The Bombers are in Trail May 4.
The BC Rugby Championships are set for May 26-28 in Abbotsford.
