Motorists best to avoid 300 Baker Street due to construction

Motorists should do their best to avoid the 300 Block of Baker Street in Nelson this week as City of Nelson Public Works crews began construction Monday to install a new manhole cover for the sewer system.
The project is expected to take the entire week with completion scheduled for Friday.
East bound traffic on Baker Street is being diverted on Kootenay Street to Vernon or Victoria Streets.
There is some parking on the 300 Block of Baker Street but no through traffic.
