Christmas Concert season gets students ready for holiday season

It’s Christmas break in Kootenay Lake School District No. 8.
However, before the final bell sounded students and teachers throughout the district staged their annual Christmas Concerts.
At Hume Elementary, students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 worked feverously to prepare for the big presentation.
Under the direction of music teacher Lisa Backus, the choir presented new festive selections along with some old time favourites with a modern twist.
The entire school takes part in all aspects of the presentation from planning, practice, preparation and performance.
