B.O.B. looking good on a fall afternoon
The bridge spanning the West Arm of Kootenay Lake at Nelson was completed November 7, 1957.
The toll bridge replaced a cable ferry which had moved cars, trucks and people across the lake from Nelson to the North Shore for many years. It’s original colour was silver before being painted orange 1969.
Local photographer Keith Wiley took this photo recently from Johnstone Park on Johnstone Road north of Nelson.
