Alzheimer Society hosts Behaviour & Communication workshop

The West Kootenay chapter of the Alzheimer Society of BC is hosting a special workshop Thursday, November 19 called Understanding Behaviour & Communication.
The workshop is set for the Nelson Community First Health Co-op from 1-3 p.m.
Caregivers will gain an understanding of how communication and behaviour are affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
Participants will also have the opportunity to explore effective ways of coping and using strategies for specific issues while providing support to the person.
Cost is by donation.
