Team Glacier Gym Club sent an allstar squad to the 2015 BC Provincial Championships in North Vancouver.

The gymnasts registered some great performances against top level clubs from the Lower Mainland the BC with almost everyone on the team returning with medals.

“These results show how amazing our Nelson gymnasts are,” said Sandra Long, Glacier Gymnastics Head Coach.

“Our club’s gymnasts train 4-8 hours less per week then the clubs we compete against and our girls look just as skilled and polished,” Long added. “Despite our lack of training time, we are very competitive in the Province.”

Mallard’s Source for sports would like to commend the Glacier gymnasts on a job well done and select the squad Team of the Week.

The team includes Ella Keelan, Olivia Kelly, Sara Tolles, Teagan McTague, Gwen McCrory, Abby Majeski, Brianne Stefani and Kylee Dyck.

Provincials Results:

  • Abby Majeski competed in her first Provincial Championships in the Level 6: 10 & under category and returned with two ribbons — a seventh on Floor Exercise and a tenth on Uneven Bars.
