Plane crash in Surrey
Sunday, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Surrey R.C.M.P. were advised by the Surrey Fire Department that they, along with B.C. Ambulance Service were in route to a small Aircraft crash, that had occurred, on a private landing strip, along the Serpentine River, in the area of the 4700 Block of King George Blvd., Surrey, B.C.
The small plane, a single engine Aircraft, with a pilot and passenger, who are both residents of Port Coquitlam, were in the process of taking off, when the plane dipped to the right.
The landing gear caught in bushes at the end of the run, and the plane nosed into the ground. Both occupants of the plane advised that they were uninjured. There was visible damage to the plane.
The Transportation Safety Board has been advised of the incident.
