Kelowna man charged in robbery

A 31-year-old Kelowna man, Troy Thomas Gold, has been charged with robbery after a local CIBC was robbed in late June.

Kelowna RCMP received a report of a robbery at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce located at 328 Bernard Avenue (Monday) June 23 at 2:33 p.m.

A man wearing black clothes approached a teller, demanded money and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Gold has since been charged with Robbery and appeared in Court on Thursday.

He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Court again on July 7.
