Motorcyclist killed near Kimberley identified

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident near Kimberley on (Tuesday) June 10 as John Robert Williams of Guelph, Ontario.

Williams, 45, had most recently been working in the Kimberley area.

Williams was the operator of a motorcycle which was heading southbound on Highway 95A at about 3:30 p.m. when he lost control and left the highway about one kilometre north of the Forest Creek Subdivision Road in Marysville.

Marysville is about 10 kilometres from Kimberley.

Williams died at the scene of the accident.

BC Coroners Service and RCMP East Kootenay Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
