Glacier Media (TSX:GVC) is not done after closing the Kamloops Daily News earlier this month.

Now the media change says it will merge two daily newspapers in the Peace River region of BC — the  Dawson Creek Daily News and the Alaska Highway News in Fort St. John.

The move, according to the publisher, will allow the Alaska Highway News to expand February 3 to cover Dawson Creek, Fort Nelson to the north and the surrounding areas and deliver improved content, coverage and circulation to readers and advertisers.

According to Glacier’s website, the Alaska Highway News has a circulation of 4,100 and the Dawson Creek Daily News has a circulation of 2,200.

In July of 2010, Glaicer Media sold its Kootenay papers, including the Nelson Daily News, to Black Press, which closed the Heritage City paper after more than 100 years of operation.
