Quesnel RCMP investigate killing of two dogs following B & E

Quesnel RCMP continue to investigate the death of two dogs which were stolen during a Break and Enter last week.
The bodies of two Boxers were located deceased in the Slide Mountain area off the Nazko Highway early Friday morning (December 13).
The dogs’ bodies were located more than 50 kilometers from the Matthews Road residence where they were stolen from less than 12 hours previously.
Their deaths are believed to be as a result of foul play and the animals are being examined by a Veterinarian to determine the cause of death.
Results from the Veterinarian examination are anticipated later this week.
Quesnel RCMP are continuing to follow up on tips received regarding this investigation and remain committed to bringing the person(s) responsible for this heinous crime to justice.
Police believe that this was a targeted incident.
