A B.C. Supreme Court Justice has sentenced 56-year-old Roy Fraser to a life sentence, with no possibility of parole for 25 years — mandatory in first-degree murder.

Justice Ian Josephson made the ruling Saturday in Kamloops Court. Fraser will serve a concurrent sentence of 10 years for the second-degree murder conviction.

A jury reached the verdict in the trial Saturday morning after two days of deliberations.

RCMP investigators unearthed the bodies of two men in May 2009 in a shallow grave on Fraser’s Knouff Lake property.
