Mallard's Team of the Week — Team Defend Our Climate

More than 200 people concerned with the planet turned up at the Nelson City Hall Courtyard to be part of “Defend Our Climate” day.

Nelsonites joined 130 protests stages across Canada to Saturday as thousands of Canadians from all three coastlines joined forces to voice their opposition to reckless tar sands expansion, pipelines and runaway climate change.

After speakers and music, the group got together for a team photo.

Mallard’s Source for sports want to honour the concerned crowd with Team of the Week accolades.
