Welcome to the 2013 Canadian Football League Grey Cup.

Canada’s most festive week of enjoyement is not complete without Nelson’s own John McCuaig Band.

The Nelson native and The Nelson Daily Ad Manager, is a musician who is fresh, heavy, experimental and best of all popular.

He’ also one of the top acts at this year’s Grey Cup festivities in Regina.

This bagpipe sensation has people groping for superlatives trying to define this “McCuagian Sound”
during Thursday night at McNallys in Regina, Friday night at the Winnipeg Blue Bombers hospitality room and Saturday night in the BB Lion’s Den.

McCuaig’s band wraps up the weekend Sunday at McNally’s tailgate party prior to kickoff of the 101st Grey Cup game.

The Grey Cup is not McCuaig’s first rodeo.

The band has ppearances at The World Curling Champions, The Juno’s, past Grey Cup parties and Celtic Festival as well as a coast to coast with stops in Mexico and
The United States along the way.

The Blues mixed with a 70’s groove band, has a chugging rock guitar interlaced with Scottish Bagpipes.

A Country train with a melodic voice that pulls you in without choice.
Johnny brings bagpipes to a whole new level by playing them as a lead instrument; much like a guitar including all the effects, all while wearing a kilt!

Johnny is positive, on the edge (and sometimes over!), experimental, sexy and definitely something not to be missed.

With decades of touring experience this live show has bridged social gaps and brings fans of all ages together.

This guy know how to put on a performance that demands even the most skeptical of onlookers to take a step back and let themselves be engulfed in a truly memorable experience.
It’s not Celtic.

It’s not Pop.

It’s not Alternative.
It’s everything.

It’s Johnny McCuaig, appearing at the 101st Grey Cup in Regina.
