The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) is rescinding the water quality advisory for the Riondel water system.

The RDCK re-issued this advisory September 11, the due to a sample result indicating the presence of small levels of total coliforms.

Subsequently, there were some moderate turbidity readings within the water system.

Sample results over the last several weeks show that the current water quality is good and within the Canadian Drinking Water Quality Guidelines.

The RDCK would like to thank residents for their cooperation and patience while this Water Quality Advisory was in place.

Public questions can be followed up by contacting the RDCK at 250-352-6665 or check out the website at www.rdck.bc.ca.
