Drugs busts in Lytton
The Lytton RCMP were kept busy with grow ops in the first two weeks of October in the Spences Bridge area.
Charges are pending as a result of a search warrant at a Spences Bridge residence executed on October 5 followed by the dismantling of a large outdoor grow op on crown land near the Goldpan Provincial Park.
On Saturday October 5, the Lytton RCMP executed a search warrant on that evening at a residence in the 3000 block of Riverview Ave in Spences Bridge. RCMP officers seized 158 plants of marihuana at different stages of growth, a total of 15 lbs of processed and packaged marihuana, 15 pounds of processed unpacked marihuana and $1,500.
Investigators anticipate forwarding evidence to support charges of Production and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking against a 45-year-old man who is a Spences Bridge resident.
On October 12, RCMP located a large outdoor marihuana grow op on crown land near the Goldpan Provincial Park just south of Spences Bridge.
A total of 742 plants were located and seized. No charges have been laid with respect to the outdoor grow op.
