RCMP bust man for drugs at Kamloops bus depot
Kamloops RCMP report a man has been arrested after a drug bust at the bus depot in the Thompson city.
Acting on a tip, RCMP Southeast district media offier Cpl. Dan Moskaluk, said officers found three kilograms of cocaine and two kilograms of heroin in a search of the luggage on Saturday, August 24.
The bus was en route to Vancouver.
“We know the safety of our roads is impacted by the drugs that move through our community along the highways,” said Moskaluk in a statement.
“Preventing this significant amount of cocaine and heroin from reaching the public is a tremendous success for BC and the RCMP Traffic Services.”
A 45-year-old man who resides in Campbell River was arrested and charges are pending.
