BC Coroner orders toxicology analysis after Kelowna teen found dead at home
The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a young woman found deceased at home in Kelowna on July 27 as Jenessa Kelly Brown, aged 19, from Kelowna.
An autopsy has been completed, however, the cause of her death has not been confirmed pending further examinations, including toxicology analysis.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death. A Coroner’s Report will be issued at the conclusion of the investigation.
Less than a week before, a 17-year-old died after taking what police say was likely heroin tainted with unknown compounds.
The family of Brown has been notified of her death.
