SPL & NRM Charity tourney raises $30,000 for KLH Foundation
The Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation just a got a lot bigger thanks to the First annual Selkirk Paving Limited & Nelson Ready Mix Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation Charity Golf Tournament.
The charity event raised a grand total of $30,000 for the foundation projects.
More than 80 golfers turned out for the event at the Granite Pointe at Nelson course Friday, playing 18-holes of Texas Scramble golf en route to generating the big prize.
Next up for the KLHF is the golf ball drop August 24 again at Granite Pointe.
The event goes at 5:30 p.m. at the course.
The hole-in-one prize package includes airfare to Victoria courtesy Pacific Coastal Airlines, two-night stay at Long Lake Inn in Nanaimo and golf passes to Cottonwood and Morning Star course.
Funding the weekend is a $1,000 in spending money.
