Greyhound Bus impounded north of Kamloops

Police pulled over and impounded a Greyhound Bus caught driving through a construction zone north of Kamloops at a speed of 110 kilometres an hour in a 50 km/h zone.

The speed was more than twice the limit in a construction zone on Highway 5 located near Blue River, north of Kamloops,

The driver has been taken out of service while Greyhound conducts an investigation of the incident.

The 19 passengers on board were forced to wait until another bus could take them to their destinations.

The bus was en route from Edmonton to Vancouver.
