Police charge 18-year-old with impersonating a police officer

Prince George RCMP have charbged an 18-year-old man with impersonating a police officer in northern B.C.

Raafay Shezad faces two charges each of extortion and impersonating a peace officer after allegedly asking a female motorist he pulled over for sexual favours.

Police are still considering more charges.

The charges come one week after  RCMP in the northern BC City received reports of a man driving a black sportscar with flashing lights.

The driver allegedly pulled over three vehicles.

The suspect allegedly demanded money in exchange for not giving a ticket, and allegedly requested a sex act from a female driver.

Police found a set of flashing lights during a search of a residence.

Shezad has been released on strict conditions until his next court appearance on April 24.
