Are you a Kootenay Co-op member seeking funding for further education?

The Kootenay Co-op has a great opportunity by offering a $1,000 Members’ Scholarship offers financial support to an active Kootenay Co-op member, or the child of an active member, to attend an accredited post secondary institution.

The scholarship is intended to support the educational goals of the applicant who would most benefit from the opportunity and who has an interest in serving their local and global community, in alignment with the Co-op’s mission and values.

“This is a ‘Made in the Kootenays’ scholarship,” said Marketing & Outreach Manager Jocelyn Carver,

“It is meant to honour the efforts of local  learners to receive an education that in turn helps them contribute back to people and the planet.”

Bronwyn, last year’s recipient, said “Thanks to the generous people from the Kootenay Co-op, I will be able to cover most of my first year’s tuition at the Recreation, Fish and Wildlife program in Castlegar. I am proud to have received this award and would like to thank the Kootenay Co-op for this scholarship”.

And that’s not all!
