Deer cull in Cranbrook back on front burner
Cranbrook is continuing with plans to cull up to 30 mule deer roaming the city.
The news comes despite councils decision to halt any culling pledging until a B.C. Supreme Court legal challenge is settled.
The trapping would happen several key areas of the community.
Cranbrook was granted permission by the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations in late 2012 to carry out the cull.
