Terrace police thwart possible abduction

RCMP in Terrace thwarted a possible abduction Tuesday in the Central B.C. community.

At 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a possible abduction.

Witnesses told police they saw a person being placed in the trunk of a small white car in the 4700 block of Davis Avenue.

Police were able to locate the vehicle on Highway # 16, approximately 10 kilometers west of Terrace.

An 18-year-old female and three males in their 20s were all taken into custody.

The female driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was issued a 90 day IRP, while the three men are all facing charges for breaching court ordered conditions.

The alleged victim was located at a residence unharmed but he is not co-operating with police at this time. The investigation is still ongoing.
