Police investigate stabbing at Fort St. John school

Fort St. John RCMP responded to a complaint of a stabbing at North Peace Secondary School Wednesday (October 24) morning.

Police attended locating a victim at the school and the suspect a short distance away who had fled the scene.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Both the victim and suspect are students at the school. The suspect and victim were known to each other and no other students were harmed.

At this time the victim is being treated at Fort St. John hospital.

Police are currently on scene as the investigation is ongoing.
