Victims identified in horrific crash on Coquihalla Highway
The BC Coroners Service has identified the three victim in a near Kamloops on the Coquihalla Highway as 49-year-old Sada Mudaliar, his 60-year-old mother-in-law Zaruna Begum, and his 41-year-old brother-in-law Shahir Khan.
Five people were in the SUV on Friday when the driver lost control, sending the vehicle down a 30-metre embankment five kilometres south of the Logan Lake turnoff.
All three victims were from New Westminster.
The driver and a passenger survived and were transported to hospital.
BC Coroner spokesperson Barb McClintock said witnesses that saw the crash may help determine the cause.
