Southern Vancouver Island hit by quake
The southern part of Vancouver Island got a little rattled Wednesday as minor earthquake flowed through the region .
The Pacific Geosciences Centre reports that the tremor, which occurred at 3:20 p.m. PT, had a magnitude of 3.0 and was centred about 20 kilometres west of Victoria.
The earthquake registered about 25 kilometres underground and was felt on both coasts of the southern island, from Sooke to Sidney, and as far north as Cowichan Lake.
No injuries or damage have been reported.
