Body of a man who presumed drowned two months ago found
The body of a man who presumed drowned two months ago near the Seymour Falls has been found at the mouth of the Seymour River.
The body of Andrew James Wilson was located Monday on a sandbar near the mouth of Seymour River.
Wilson, 24, from Salmon Arm, was swimming with a friend in the Seymour River just above the Seymour Falls on June 11 when he was seen getting caught in the current and swept over the falls.
Search and Rescue teams searched the area for days, but was unable to locate unable the body.
However, Monday a boater passing the area spotted Wilson’s body Monday — two months after his drowning — on the sandbar where the Seymour River flows into the Seymour Arm of Shuswap Lake.
The B.C. Coroner’s Service is investigating the death.
