Man charged in death of Invermere resident

The RCMP have made an arrest and laid charges in connection with the death of Cory Jarock of Invermere BC.

The RCMP Southeast District Major Crimes Unit confirm that 23-year-old Brian Panebianco was arrested on Thursday July 19th, in Radium B.C. and charged with several offences relating to the death of Jarock. 

Panebianco  was also arrested on other outstanding arrest warrants that were unrelated to Jarock’s death.

The Columbia Valley RCMP assisted by the South East District Major Crimes Unit commenced their investigation into Jarock’s death on April 3 of this yeaa after Jarock was found unresponsive in the driveway of an Invermere home.

Panebianco  was presented to a Judicial Justice of the Peace bail hearing on July 20, and was remanded into custody until his next appearance in Court in Invermere on Wednesday (July 25).

Panebianco  has been charged with Assault, Robbery, and Breach of Recognizance in relation to the death of Jarock. 

The RCMP Southeast District Major Crimes Unit investigators are continuing their investigation into Jarock’s death.
