The Nelson Local Market made its way back to Baker Street Wednesday.

The event, sponsored by the West Kootenay EcoSociety, is beginning its third year and runs Wednesday’s from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through to September 26, offering an amazing mix of local produce, plants, prepared foods, body care, and hand-made arts and crafts.

This year the West Kootenay EcoSociety said the market has been organized into product sections that should make it easier for customers to navigate the market and find what they need.

Eggs and honey will be available to complement seasonal fruits and vegetables from the region.

Crafts will include hand-made hats and shoes, locally made clothing and jewellery, and an array of body and home care products.

The Nelson Local Market is part of the EcoSociety market circuit, which sponsors the Saturday Cottonwood Community Market at Cottonwood Falls Park, and MarketFest, the monthly Friday night street festivals.
