CP Rail train derails near Salmon Arm
A CP Rail coal train derailed early Monday morning east of Salmon Arm near Canoe.
A CP spokesperson says the train and ten cars went off the rails at about 5:30 a.m. PT.
The train collided with power lines when it derailed, leaving hundreds without electricity Monday morning.
