Union of Spiritual Communities of Christ Kootenay Ladies Organization Supports Selkirk

Joyce Buckler, Selkirk College Donor Service Coordinator (photo above) accepts $300 cheque for the Peace and Human Rights Award from Stefanie Zaytsoff and Lianna Zwick representing the Union of Spiritual Communities of Christ Kootenay Ladies Organization.

The Peace & Human Rights Award is in recognition of Doukobor Ideals and will be given at the Fall 2012 Scholarship and Awards Ceremonies, to a Selkirk College student who demonstrates their involvement in advancing the ideals of peace and human rights.

The winner will be a Selkirk College student in good standings, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in a minimum of two courses, involved with peace and human rights issues in the College and broader community; show leadership, initiative and commitment in peace and human rights activities as well as innovative approaches in creating an increased awareness of peace and human rights issues.
