Kelowna RCMP Order a Review Following Reports Officer Parked in 'Disabled' Parking

The Officer in Charge of Kelowna Detachment, Superintendent Bill McKinnon, has ordered a review after a photo of a police car was taken while it was parked in a spot designated for individuals with disabilities.
 
At this time we can confirm that the police officer was responding to a call at Orchard Park Mall on Friday, February 17 on a report that a shoplifter had stolen from a number of stores. 

When female officer arrived it appears that she parked in a parking space reserved for individuals with a disability.

The member arrested a female suspect inside the mall and took her into custody. 

The suspect was later released and will be appearing in court on May 8.  The total value of the items stolen was approximately $400.00.
 
The issue of where the member parked is under review.
