Nelson native Erin Dooley wants to light up your business or home for Christmas.

The graduate of Alberta College of Arts has opened up Holiday Love interior design and decorating.

“I’ve always been very into my holiday decorating at home and get loads of compliments, so I thought of trying to share my talent with other people,” Dooley told The Nelson Daily.

“I do everything from the tree decorating to the gift wrapping,” she adds. “The business is about bringing my style and talent to people that need a little help or just don’t have time.”

Dooley, 32, realizes she got into the business a little late for this season as most Nelson businesses have already made decorating plans for the Christmas season.

However, for those businesses, or homeowners still wanting to get into the holiday spirit, a quick call to Dooley can fulfill their needs.

“I’m always watching design shows, reading home style magazines and searching the Internet for ideas,” the stay-at-home mother of two-year-old Harlow said.

“I’m always coming up with new ways to use my ornaments and creating new ones (like the newspaper and yarn balls in the Global Underground window, see picture above).”

Once the holiday season has passed Dooley will focus on interior designing and decorating in the New Year.
