The Aug.3 Lotto 6/49 draw was a great night for B.C. lottery players, with all three major prizes won in the province.

Players are encouraged to check their tickets as none of the nearly $8 million in total prize winnings has been claimed.

A single ticket sold in Richmond will claim the largest prize. The winning ticket matched all six numbers to win just over $7 million in prizes.

The remaining two winning tickets were sold in Surrey and Nanaimo. The Surrey ticket matched 5/6 numbers (including the bonus) to win $260,000, while someone in Nanaimo said “Yes” to the Extra, matching 4/4 numbers to win $500,000 on the B.C.-only lottery game.

Players have one year from the draw date printed on the ticket to claim any prizes won on a lottery ticket.

Lotto 6/49 is a nation-wide lottery game drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays after 6 p.m. local time. Players looking to become the province’s next multi-millionaire can purchase their tickets at any lottery retailer or online at PlayNow.com.

This Saturday’s Lotto 6/49 draw is an estimated $7 million.
